Setareh Beauty was originally founded as an outlet for my love of makeup artistry. I wanted to show it off to the world. I created a blog to compliment my new small entrepreneurial endeavor, showcasing my work, my makeup techniques, and answering some of the most frequently asked questions I receive from my clients and friends.

 

Setareh Beauty's blog space has evolved into something much, much more and it's time to introduce Rosewater + Silk.

 

Rosewater + Silk evolved from my own journey of losing myself in my 20s and rediscovering and reinventing myself in my 30s and beyond. Rosewater + Silk is a safe place to find totally unbiased and authentic beauty and lifestyle advice for those of us with demanding careers and/or children, who are budget conscious but also see the value in quality over quantity.

 

See, after six years of working full-time, getting married, having my first babe, and getting my Master's Degree, I remember one day looking in the mirror and asking myself, “What happened to me?”

 

I noticed new wrinkles, not only in my face but also in the clothes that no longer suited me well.

 

I noticed new habits, some good and some bad, which pertained to my diet, exercise, and skincare.

 

I’ve learned new time-saving techniques throughout my life that have helped me regain back both my sanity and confidence.

 

Most importantly, I noticed that there aren't a lot of places in this big internet world that cater to those of us who feel that after a career or kids or both, we need to take time out for us. We need to reconnect with our youthful self while projecting the new confidence and wisdom we've acquired along this journey called adulthood. I've also noticed that we don't have enough hours in the day to figure out how to do that and there are few places that let us indulge in taking care of ourselves as individuals, since we are always taking care of others.
